We have an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice MIS Officer to join our exceptional Science and Digital department here at Bradford College.
The Apprentice MIS Officer is an integral role within the department and is a great opportunity for someone wanting to kickstart a career in Further Education.
MIS Officers are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of data relating to student details, enrolments, timetables, course set up and planning data. As an Apprentice you will shadow and support the MIS Officers and wider department in order to develop an in depth understanding of the role while completing an apprenticeship that will aid in developing the required skills.
As part of this role you will be supported to complete a Level 3 Business Admin apprenticeship and the role will be Fixed Term for a period of 24 months to cover the duration of the course.
Responsibilities include:
To support the Head of Department with the processing of data during the Business Planning cycle.
Support in the creatin and maintenance of an accurate course Masterfile for the department.
Work closely with cross college departments to ensure an excellent student administration service.
To develop an in-depth understanding of funding and audit rules as defined by relevant agencies.
To develop and understanding of the College Fee Policy and how it applies to students.
Assist the team in the timely and accurate processing of student withdraws and transfers in line with the College Policies and Procedures.
Support the team in ensuring that timetables are accurately recorded on the system and students are on the correct registers.
Ensure that the student record reflects curriculum delivery. This includes (but is not limited to):
Delivery dates
Learning Aims
Funding Category
Enrolment status
Achievement records
Support the team in correcting ILR and/or audit errors in a timely manner.
Support the Admissions & Enrolment Team with the processing of student enrolments.
Assist in maintaining any electronic or paper-based information stored by the department for funding and audit purposes.

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
Willingness to complete an Apprenticeship in Business Admin Level 3 within an agreed timescale
Experience
Evidence of high level of keyboard/ word processing skills with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and the use of the internet.
