We have an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Work Experience Officer to join our exceptional Student Services department here at Bradford College.
The Work Experience Officers have an integral role within the department and this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to kickstart a career in Further Education.
As an Apprentice Work Experience Officer at Bradford College, you will learn how to work directly with students to support, manage and monitor all work experience activity. The Work Experience Officers hold key responsibility for maximising the engagement of young people in these work placements, whilst seeking and developing working relationships with local and regional employers.
Please note that this is initially a Fixed Term position for 18 months to cover the duration of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities include:
Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by meeting all apprenticeship milestones and completing the apprenticeship programme to industry standards.
Support students to plan, source and complete their work experience hours
Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers, businesses, and industry partners to secure quality work placements that align with students’ career aspirations and course requirements
Actively prospect new employer partners through networking, cold outreach activities, and attendance at industry network events.
Match students with appropriate work experience opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career goals
Coordinate placement logistics including start dates, working arrangements, supervision requirements, and health and safety protocols.
Prepare students for work experience through pre-placement briefings, skills assessments, CV development, interview preparation and work place readiness training.
Point of contract through the placement to address any challenges and ensure students maximise their opportunity.
Maintain contact with both students and employers during the placements to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
To meet set targets for work experience in line with agreed key performance indicators
Accurately record and produce reports on the Work Experience Management System

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale

Willingness to complete an apprenticeship within a given timeframe
Experience
Evidence of high level of keyboard/word processing skills with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and the use of the internet.
